Yes, but they are limited. Unlike tours from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher or tours from Paris to the Loire Valley which both offer hundreds of different options, tours going to Normandy from Paris are far more limited.
The ones that are offered are wonderful, however, which is why we’ve sifted through the best of the best to help you find a great option for you!
But, if you’re looking for a wider range of options, consider researching tours that leave directly from Caen or Bayeux.
I have listed a few of them in the sections below and they often make for more affordable and shorter options than if you are coming all the way from Paris.

Can You Do Normandy as a Day Trip from Paris?
While Normandy can technically be a day trip from Paris, I don’t recommend it. It’s about a 3-hour drive or a 2-hour train ride each way, so that would make for a very long day of traveling.
Especially since many of the tours I mentioned that come from Paris depart around 7:00am and arrive back in Paris around 9:00pm, you won’t have much time for anything before or after the tour.
The single-day tours are primarily for travelers looking to make use of a long layover or a quick stop in if they don’t have time to stay longer.
Normandy is an incredible region with numerous historic beaches from the D-Day Invasion, Mont Saint-Michel, and the charming towns of Le Havre, Honfleur, and Étretat (among others), so it’s highly recommended to spend a minimum of 2, but preferably 3, days in Normandy, France.

Plus, you’ll likely need a rental car to get between all of the beaches, American cemetery, and Mont Saint-Michel so you can efficiently get between sights (in terms of both time and cost).

Is There a Paris to Normandy Train?
Yes, there are direct trains that run from Paris to Caen and Paris to Bayeux, both of which lie in the heart of Normandy.
However, since many of the most popular tourist attractions (i.e. the D-Day Beaches, Mont Saint-Michel, Étretat, etc.) are spanned across 150 miles (240 kilometers) on the western coast of France, we recommended either booking a full day guided tour that includes private transportation like the ones below, or renting your own car.
Buses and trams are convenient in the area, however, if you want to be on your own schedule, then a car rental is best.
How Long is a Train Ride from Paris to Normandy?
The train rides from Paris to Normandy take between 2-3 hours each way and are quite comfortable. If you’re wondering “how do I get to Normandy from Paris“, the train is by far the best way if you decide to visit on your own without a guide.
The 2-hour train is a direct route from Paris Saint-Lazare to Gare de Caen. We recommend this train since it removes the need to change lines and will get you to your destination faster.
It is typically more expensive, however, just do your best to compare prices before booking. I always use Omio for my European train travel and have never had a bad experience!
The 3-hour train ride also departs from Paris Saint-Lazare, but it stops at the Gare de Rouen before making its way to Gare de Caen.
If you are visiting Normandy for at least a few days and don’t mind the extra stop and are looking to save some money, this is a perfect option!
If you do decide to book one of the local tours from Bayeux, be sure to book a train to Bayeux and not Caen if that is where you plan on spending your time before the tour.
